The cafeteria at Radley Elementary School in East Helena was busy on Wednesday, just as it’s been since Tuesday when summer school started and free breakfast and lunch became available to children age 18 and younger.
Sack lunches, created at Radley, are also being distributed on weekdays across town at Eastgate Elementary School, said Deb Felton, the East Helena School District food supervisor.
The meals are part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Summer Food Service Program and will be available to all children — no registration or family income information is required — through Aug. 14.
