Through an analysis of student performance on the ACT, a librarian at Capital High School has linked higher test scores among CHS and Helena High students to the completion of certain classes.
The achievement gap between students who took three years of math and science versus those who only took two years led district leaders to call for more rigorous graduation requirements.
