Nearly 300 members of the public and staff spoke up about Helena Public Schools facilities at a series of eight listening sessions held in November and December.  Missed the meetings?  It’s not too late to weigh in.

Second round of Helena Public Schools listening sessions is this week

A second round of three Helena Public Schools community listening sessions kicks off Monday night, Dec. 7, at 6 p.m. at Ray Bjork Learning Center Gym, 1600 8th Ave. Check-in and refreshments are at 5:30 p.m.  Read more at the Helena IR here.

November Listening Sessions — Summaries Posted

Thank you to everyone who turned out for a Listening Session to help the district build a facility plan that supports student education.

Last week wrapped up our first series of four (4) Listening Sessions with about 130 people attending. Summaries of these community and staff conversations are now posted on the website.

We want to hear from you! In December, please consider attending one of four (4) more opportunities to engage in the conversation and support Helena Public Schools Educational goals.

Screenshot 2015-06-18 07.23.36Through an analysis of student performance on the ACT, a librarian at Capital High School has linked higher test scores among CHS and Helena High students to the completion of certain classes.

The achievement gap between students who took three years of math and science versus those who only took two years led district leaders to call for more rigorous graduation requirements.

This is how the $70 million in the elementary school bond will be spent if the bond passes

The voters of Helena will decide in June whether or not to pass the proposed $70 million bond to fund renovations and construction in Helena’s elementary schools.
