Helena School Board votes to delay elementary school bond

The Helena School Board unanimously voted to delay an elementary school bond at Tuesday night’s meeting.

The $48-million dollar bond levy proposes to construct a new school on top of the current Central School site among many goals.

It would require demolishing the existing Central facility. Since Central is considered a part of the National Register of Historic Places, approval from city and county officials is needed before demolishing the school.
