The voters will be asked to approve an Elementary School Bond Approved by the Board of Trustees. Ballots will be mailed to Lewis and Clark County residents living within the Elementary School District boundary on June 3, 2015. The deadline is Thursday, June 18, 2015 for voters to decide whether the school district may use $70 million in bond funding to pay for renovations and improvements to 11 elementary schools for 3400 students and 950 employees.
You must be registered to vote in Lewis and Clark County and live within the Helena Elementary School District boundaries to vote in the Elementary School Bond Election. The deadline to register to vote for this election is May 19. In order to meet this deadline, your voter registration application must be dropped of in person by 5pm on May 19th, or postmarked by May 19th and received in the elections office by May 22nd.
The election will be conducted by mail, which means all registered voters with an “active” status will be mailed a ballot on June 3rd.
Late registration is not applicable to the June 18 bond election. For more information on when late registration does and does not apply, please see 13-2-304, MCA.
Ballots will be mailed to all active registered voters of the elementary district on June 3rd. To make your ballot count, do one of the following:
Mail in your ballot in time to ensure it is received by the elections office by 8pm on June 18. Note: postmarks are not accepted, your ballot must be received by the deadline.
Drop off your ballot at one of the designated locations between 8am and 5pm, M-F, or between 7am and 8pm Election Day, June 18.
